Business Wire article by Stephanie Sutton dated 10 Nov 2011 titled “Online TV: Competitor or Complement to Traditional TV?” look at the research done by SANTA MONICA, Calif. Entertainment and technology market research firm. These results show that 2 out of 3 people are regularly watching online videos, to which Sutton comments that these results indicate that traditional TV is not being abandoned. She suggests that television audiences are “looking for a broader mix of options to consume television content”. This broader mix she describes as “catching up on missed episodes and being able to watch whenever, whatever”.
